Your Mission
We are looking for talented and passionate people to join our team. As part of our team, you will:
- Develop forecasts and projections for Qilin.Cloud users’ KPIs in the context of supply chain control and planning using statistical techniques and machine learning methods
- Partial standardization of underlying data and software pipelines to achieve scaling of forecast development, deployment and operations
- Collaborate in a cross-functional Data Science IT team based on agile working methods
What you need to succeed
- Very good scientific / technical university degree or equivalent in-depth education
- Extensive theoretical knowledge of various methods for developing and evaluating forecast models
- Excellent coding skills to be able to develop models on large data sets for production use
- Experience with Python ML libraries, SQL, data science relevant cloud technologies (Azure, AWS, GCP) and software development tools (e.g. Git, GitHub, IDEs, …)
- Language level: English C1
Bonus points for experience with
- Practical experience in the development of productively deployed software in cross-functional teams
- Knowledge in the context of supply chain issues
Ready for PhD

You must hold an excellent Master’s degree in computer science, interdisciplinary natural science, maths, or related, and have profound English and autonomous learning ability skills. To be successful, you will be highly creative, ambitious, and motivated. Strong machine learning skills are an advantage.

How the process might continue after the application
- Review of documents / online test: If your application has convinced us, we will invite you to an online test. The task depends on the apprenticeship you are aiming for.
- Video interview: After a successful test, the next step is the video interview with our HR. Here we would like to get to know you and learn more about you. Schedule about 15-30 minutes for the interview.
- Team introduction interview: This is followed by the final step: getting to know each other in person with the team and your possible colleagues. We meet via video conference and take a lot of time for this – also to answer your questions.
